大力神最早在2018年5月3日的Around the Verse章节中被介绍.[11] 该飞船的概念由Foundry 42 UK的Michael Oberschneider(高级概念设计师)设计，Sarah McCulloch (概念设计师)、Paul Jones(美术总监)、Corentin Billemont(系统设计师)、John Crewe(技术设计主管)等参与了设计。[12]

  • “星际运输船（Starlifter）”一词原本是用来代指“创世纪 星船（Genesis Starlifter）”, 创世纪 星航的一个变体. 根据2018年5月4日的《逆转寰宇周刊（Reverse The Verse）》 创世纪 星船已经被大力神 星际运输船所取代.[13]
