铁砧航天的克拉克是一艘备受军方与公民喜爱的多人探索舰，也是常年以来双方开辟新航道的不二之选。说到克拉克就不得不提到另外两艘标志性载具 - C8 双鱼座与另一辆罗伯茨太空工业 大熊座漫游车，人们通常将其联系在一起。[1] 克拉克是一艘能在极端恶劣的太空环境中维持自我循环的独立舰船。克拉克是一艘专为穿越jump point，对抗太空极端环境与归乡而设计的舰船。[2]
克拉克在服役以后一直作为探索的主力活跃在地球联合帝国海军。因为搭载了高强度的船体装甲，克拉克也是银河系中安全系数最高的探索远征舰之一。[3] 克拉克现已被军方解密并允许civilian拥有。[4]

- 自循环式探索：舰载生活舱可提供自给自足式航行，拥有舰载医疗室和维修设施，以及一个能在旅途中绘制路线的星系地图传感器套件（星图室）。[4]
- 长距航程：该船安装了有助于更长时间航线的加强燃料箱，以及一个先进的Tarsus隧道jump drive阵列和专用的计算机核心室，使其能将百分百的计算力用于跳跃制图运算。[3][4]
- 侦查小队：克拉克可搭载一艘Pisces侦查舰，一辆大熊座漫游车，以及一个无人机探索者吊舱。[3]
- 装甲盖防护：克拉克配备了一个漂亮的单窗多层驾驶舱窗口，为其提供了开拓的视野。同时还有一个钛强化防爆装甲盖，能够在危险来袭时迅速封闭舰船。当防爆模式启动时，克拉克可以依靠其大量的舰载传感器航行。[3]
- 舰桥室：克拉克的舰桥分为上下两层，安装有用于广域扫描、制图、绘制传感器套件的特征控制器，多人工作站和一个大型无障碍舱盖。下层舰桥包含有3个操纵控制座椅，中间是驾驶座椅。上层舰桥包含2个带有3个多功能显示器的船员站和一个指挥官站。右舷控制器也能控制位于舰船顶部的遥控炮塔。指挥站有2个多功能显示器，可为舰船领航。并有一个小电梯负责连通上下舰桥。
- 模块：克拉克能够在其腹部携带3个可交换式模块。这些模块能使克拉克面对更独特的工作。克拉克的默认模块为货物模块，能够携带456 SCU的货物。

Development
- On 2013-11-23, CIG conducted a poll with the community to decide the role of the ship that was coming next.[9] On 2013-11-25, the exploration role won the poll, and the Carrack was announced.[10] On 2013-11-26, the Carrack officially became promised feature of the $33 million crowdfunding goal.[11]
- The initial concept of the ship was designed by Gurmukh Bhasin and Omar Aweidah (concept artist).[12][13] It is also the first large Anvil ship that went into development. The concept art of the ship was first revealed on 2014-11-28.[14] On 2017-10-06, the Carrack went in production on white box phrase,[15] but stopped afterwards due to development priorities. On 2018-11-23, the Carrack resumed into production with a 5-person team from Foundry 42 UK. The ship was scaled back to roughly the original size of the concept.[16]
Trivia
- Carrack is the favourite ship of Jared Huckaby (Disco Lando). He is forced to like the ship as he is "legally bounded by his obligation to the community to like the ship".[16] It is originated from the ship shape segment on 2018-04-12, he asked the community to vote his favorite ship in the comments,[17] his favourite ship officially became the Carrack on 2018-05-03.[18]
- Carrack was released with a minigame.[3]
