The Holiday Special 2017 was a pre-recorded video event organised by 雲間帝國遊戲 primarily to showcase the ongoing development of 42中隊. Having been pulled from the CitizenCon 2016 presentation at the last minute, the "Vertical Slice" demo was given over a year of polish before finally appearing as the main feature of the Holiday Special 2017.[缺乏引證]
