Gamescom 2013 (2943 In-Lore) took place on August 22, 2013 in Cologne, Germany. This was the first big community event organised for the game, and has a special place in 克里斯·罗伯茨' heart[缺乏引证]. The event was also livestreamed for the wider 星际公民 community.
The only significant component of the event was showcasing the Hangar Module Demo to a very excited crowd of fans, who shouted "oooooooh!" hoping for the demo to not crash when launching.
