The UEES Gilchrist was a small corvette-type ship of unknown class that served in the United Planets of Earth Navy. Commander Hester Polaris commanded the ship from approximately 2530-2543, and saw frontline service during the 第一次塔维因战争. On August 12 2543, the Gilchrist was ambushed by 塔维因 during routine patrol. The crew were able to repel the boarders while also destroying three Tevarin capital ships and numerous small adversaries.
While the Commander would succumb to her wounds after the battle, the event led to the 北極星-class corvette being named in her honour in 2946.[1]
The prefix UEES is used in reference to the ship during the First Tevarin War; this is anachronous, as the 地球聯合帝國 had not yet formed. The correct prefix would have been UPES.
