The Human Overpopulation Era was a period in human history between the founding of RSI (2038) and the successfull terraforming and colonization of 火星 (2157). This period, as the name implies, was characterized by severe overpopulation, wars, destruction of Earth's ecosphere and a steep decline of natural resources and diversity.

Major inventions of this period, including the first jump-drive (2075) and the first marketable terraforming technology (2061), as well as the Great Mars Tragedy (2125), fall within this period.
