The Café Musain is a bar and hangout spot in 列夫斯基, located in the Grand Barter Bazaar. Owner Clair Rios is a lifelong resident of Levski.
Les Miserables
It is named in honour of the locale of the same name from the novel Les Misérables, written by Victor Hugo and first published in 1862. The café is described, by Hugo, as being in the Place Saint-Michel. The owner of the Musain is Madame Houcheloup, an old widow, and the waitresses are two young women: Matelote and Gibelote.
Les Amis de l'ABC meet in the back room, which is actually rather far from the rest of the café. The back room has an exit by private stairway to the Rue des Grés (now known as the Rue Cujas).[1]
