Standard Earth Year (SEY): 2542 is best known for significant military events on two fronts of Human space:
- Xi'an-Human Cold War - The discovery of the Rihlah system and subsequent inception of the Perry Line, with Odara renamed to Gurzil and Nivelin renamed to Hadrian.
- First Tevarin War - The Tevarin invade and capture Idris IV via an as-yet undiscovered Jump Point from their home system. A civilian resistance group known as The Greys grows to prominence.
