基尔星系是临近希安星域的一个边界星系（原佩里防线星系）。它是由一艘由Adhama Schnauss指挥的商船于2514年发现的。这个星系是以这艘商船的船长的一个朋友的名字命名的。施纳斯希望这一举动能激励他的朋友最终冒险进入星空，看看这个以他名字命名的星系。^[1]

历史

在发现贝克星系和荷鲁斯星系的30年后，UPE（地球行星联合国）停止了该星系内私人设施的建设，并将这里转变为军事中心。^[1]

基尔星系的主要功能是在冷战期间作为军事力量的集结地。在该星系的六颗行星中，只有西弗勒斯（基尔III）进行了地球化改造，以作为军队的行动中心。

基尔星系的武装力量也得到了大规模的强化，梅塞尔政权向该星系注入了大量的资金。^[1]
