历史
首次介绍
在28世纪的Cutlass成功之后，德雷克星际的CEO兼首席设计师Jan Dredge正在寻找一个新项目来推动公司前进。尽管卡特拉斯在商业运输中取得了一定的成功，但它更多地以其战斗能力而闻名。德雷奇知道他们应该采取相同的设计原则并将其应用于更大的东西。

凯瑟琳窃案
在2903年06月21日SET，一艘毛虫从繁忙的交通中突围而出，使用前端传感器阵列作为钩子挂靠到一个eriesium运输船上。前货门打开，海盗跳到被固定的运输船上并切割进入，同时炮塔对惊愕的安保人员进行攻击。
在五分钟内，安保人员被消灭，运输船被破坏，eriesium被夺走。指挥舱从毛虫上分离，海盗带着他们的战斗机同伙重新消失在航道中。当地球联合帝国督导局到达时，他们发现了一个永久烙印在公众意识中的形象，一艘德雷克毛虫附着在漏气的运输船残骸上。
尽管当局在整个系统中进行了彻底的搜查，他们从未弄清楚谁是幕后黑手。在该事件之后，毛虫与犯罪元素永远联系在一起。[2]
